Broken Blade Studios - Miniature art by Golden Demon winner Joseph Tomaszewski

This was a minature that i painted deliberately with a limited palate, all of the highlights were done with a blue/white mix and the gems were painted with quite rich colours to add a piercing addition of colour to the mini.

The base was painted too look like marbled slab flooring, which was simply painted onto the plastic base supplied with the miniature (no plasticard added etc) i have not yet found another miniature that would be suitable for this kind of base, but i would not hesitate to use the technique again as i think it creates a really interesting look.
