This was a Unit that i intended to try out a couple of things, firstly freehand on the trousers, to make it look as though an Ogre had used part of an empire flag or brettonnian horse barding for trousers, i also added snow to the bases using "techstar snowflakes" available from the coolminiornot shop, which seems to be very effect and easy to use.

The metals were a big experiment for me in painting rust and vert de gris, for the rust i applied watered down bestial brown to any bolts, nails or other joins where rust would form, and then wiped over the area with my finger, leaving paint in the recess only, this is such a simple technique but pretty effective. The same tachnique was used for weathering on the bronze items, except dark angels green mixed with catachan green was used instead of bestial brown.
